The call

In short: a website written by scientists for distributors was rebuilt around the person standing at the trailhead. Same company, same science, seventeen times the engagement.

A well-known manufacturer whose website was accurate, thorough, and technical — it read like their scientists had written it, because they had. It was trying to talk to distributors and end customers on the same pages, and every picture showed people escaping the dangers of the outdoors rather than enjoying them.

The work

We rebuilt it around one person: the customer standing at the trailhead. Distribution got its own site. Eighty-seven disjointed pages became about ten. The research stayed — it was their best asset — but every page now led with why it mattered to that person's day outside, then how, and only then what the product did.
